Unexpected Storm

Unexpected Storm

Recently, here in the DMV we had what I thought was a clear, chilly day. I left the house to run some errands, and before I got out of the neighborhood, the most unexpected and random rain/snow/sleet storm just came out of nowhere. It wasn’t in the forecast. It didn’t even seem cold enough for sleet. But the storm came anyway.

It was terrible. I could hardly see, let alone drive. Part of me wanted to turn around and go home, but these errands were important, so I just kept driving. I drove through the worst part of the storm, and this beautiful sky was on the other side. The storm wasn’t as bad, nor did it last as long as I thought.

This encouragement is for someone who has hit an unexpected storm in life. Don’t give up. Keep driving forward! Your destiny is too important to let this storm stop you! There is beauty on the other side!

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. ~Galatians 6:9
