Jersey Pull
As much as I would like to think that I’m Michael Jordan in life and in this picture, I’m more often Dennis Rodman. The one who is a bit of a loose cannon. As prone to do something stupid to make my team look bad, as I am to make a hustle play to help my team win.
So I need to surround myself with great teammates. People who will pull my shirt in love because they love me and know the kingdom needs my gifts. I also need the Holy Spirit to restrict me from my normal inclinations and pull me back into the huddle of local church community and accountability.
Who can pull your jersey? What are your inclinations that you need to bring into the safety of community? In order to be victorious spiritually, we need the Holy Spirit and great teammates to make sure our behavior is building the Kingdom!
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. ~Hebrews 10:24-25
